I have always loved pens, paper and anything that has to do with writing. My fondest childhood recollections were that of going shopping for back to school supplies. That meant visiting the old Five and Dime store in our neighborhood and loading up with Scheaffer school pens, Bic ball points at 19 cents and gobs of notebooks. I was fascinated then as I am today how a smooth writing pen glides across the page creating all sorts of fantastic notes and stories.
Over the years, I have purchased all sorts of cheap and inexpensive fountain pens. It was not until five years ago, that I received my first true pen of distinction from a good friend. He presented me with a Namiki Vanishing Point. Curious as to its origin I began an internet search to discover a universe of previously undiscovered styolographic marvels.
I soon purchased my first Montblanc 149. Upon arrival I noted its pristine beauty as well as its delightful nib. In the past, I had thrown my less noteworthy acquisitions into a pants pocket, shirt pocket or into the bottom of a briefcase as they traveled to and fro on my daily excursions. This was different. The 149 deserved to be handled with care, love and distinction. So began my quest to procure a suitable repository to avoid harm or injury.
I began by developing the double pen pouch with extended flap. It soon gave way to the triple case and within a year, I had researched and designed an entire ensemble of fine cases to house a variety of pen configurations.
The Penchant case line has been developed by a pen lover/user/collector who passionately adores fountain pens. These are the sorts of styles that I would buy were I shopping for a pen case at a local boutique.
All the smaller cases are made from premium grade Stone Washed cowhide. The leather is extra thick but very supple to provide shock protection should you drop your pen on a hard surface and has been treated to endure the rigours of harsh northern climates. You will enjoy years of enjoyment due to the superior grade of leather used in manufacture.
As well, these are not mass produced on an assembly line. Each case is individually cut and stitched by highly skilled craftsmen so quality control is at the individual unit level.
What will get your attention immediately is the aroma of real leather as well as a sensual delight as your fingers experience the texture of its soft and supple nature.
The Large Storage cases (12,24,48) are also personally designed by me but they are mass produced and are of a very high quality as well.
I invite you to try one of our cases and to ask any questions about our products.
